The Black Bear is a low poly American black bear captured on all four feet - compact, powerful, with the distinctive cream muzzle marking that makes this species immediately recognizable.

Intermediate level. 4 to 5 hours of build time. Pre-cut and pre-scored on heavyweight cardstock. No scissors, no printing, no experience needed.

The finished sculpture has a quiet density. The dark facets catch light differently than the brighter pieces in the collection - a piece that works beautifully in contrast with lighter surroundings.

  • Pre-cut and pre-scored papercraft sheets on heavyweight cardstock
  • A practice kit: a tiny mushroom, to learn the fold technique before you start (a little bit tricky on purpose)
  • Step-by-step instructions in 6 languages (FR/EN/ES/PT/IT/DE)
  • Glue not included

No scissors needed. No printing. Everything is ready to fold.

Shipping
Ships worldwide from Montréal, Canada. Orders are usually processed within 1-3 business days, though processing times may vary. Tracking provided for all orders if option is selected.
International orders outside Canada may be subject to import duties, customs fees, and taxes upon delivery. These charges are the responsibility of the customer (DDU).

Returns
Unopened kits may be returned within 14 days of receipt. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

Damaged orders
If your kit arrives in a visibly damaged or compromised package, take a photo before opening it. You can open the outer packaging but do not open the product inside until you hear from us. Contact us within 48 hours, we will look into it together and work to resolve it quickly.

EU buyers
You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receipt. To exercise this right, contact us at info@polypapercraft.com. Return shipping arrangements and costs are the buyer's responsibility. Refunds are issued upon receipt of the product in its original, unopened condition.

The bear that shares our backyard.

The American black bear (Ursus americanus) is the most common bear species in Canada - found in every province and territory except Prince Edward Island. Unlike the grizzly, which requires vast wilderness, the black bear is remarkably adaptable, living at the edges of cities, in provincial parks, and in forested areas across the country.

Despite the name, black bears in Canada are not always black. Coat colour varies widely - from jet black in eastern Canada to cinnamon, blonde, and even the rare "spirit bear" or Kermode bear of British Columbia's coast, which carries a recessive gene producing a white or cream coat.
