The Grizzly Bear is a low poly grizzly standing on its hind legs - Canada's most powerful land predator, captured in its most commanding posture.

Easy assembly. 4 to 5 hours of build time. Pre-cut and pre-scored on heavyweight cardstock. No scissors, no printing, no experience needed.

The finished sculpture is one of the most imposing pieces in the collection. Standing upright, rendered in warm golden-brown facets, it fills a shelf with authority.

Part of the Poly Paper Craft Canadian wildlife collection. Designed in Montreal since 2016.

Every kit includes:

  • Pre-cut and pre-scored papercraft sheets on heavyweight cardstock
  • A practice kit: a tiny mushroom, to learn the fold technique before you start (a little bit tricky on purpose)
  • Step-by-step instructions in 6 languages (FR/EN/ES/PT/IT/DE)
  • Glue not included

No scissors needed. No printing. Everything is ready to fold.

Standing tall - Canada's most iconic predator.

The grizzly bear (Ursus arctos horribilis) is one of the most iconic symbols of the Canadian wilderness. Found primarily in British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon, and the Northwest Territories, Canada is home to approximately 26,000 grizzlies - roughly half the world's population outside Russia and Alaska.

Grizzlies are distinguished from black bears by the prominent shoulder hump - a mass of muscle used for digging - and the distinctive dished facial profile. They are significantly larger than black bears, with adult males weighing up to 360 kg.

Grizzly bears play a critical role in their ecosystems. As salmon predators, they transport marine nutrients deep into forests - their waste fertilizes the trees along river corridors, connecting the ocean to the forest in a cycle that has shaped the Pacific Northwest for millennia. A forest with grizzlies is measurably more productive than one without.

This kit stands the grizzly on its hind legs - the posture it adopts to assess its surroundings, a moment of genuine bear behaviour frozen in paper.
