Our original low poly papercraft wolf is a grey wolf caught mid-howl - head raised, throat open, the posture that has defined wild Canada in every sense. Our most dramatic Expert-level kit.

Expert level. 7 to 8 hours of build time. Pre-cut and pre-scored on heavyweight cardstock. No scissors, no printing, but significant patience and dexterity required.

The finished sculpture has extraordinary presence. The grey and white colouring, the raised head, and the sharp geometric facets make it a centrepiece piece for any collection. Not recommended for beginners.

Part of the Poly Paper Craft Canadian wildlife collection. Designed in Montreal since 2016.

Every kit includes:

  • Pre-cut and pre-scored papercraft sheets on heavyweight cardstock
  • A practice kit: a tiny mushroom, to learn the fold technique before you start (a little bit tricky on purpose)
  • Step-by-step instructions in 6 languages (FR/EN/ES/PT/IT/DE)
  • Glue not included

No scissors needed. No printing. Everything is ready to fold.

Meet your animal.

The howl that defines the Canadian wilderness.

Canada supports the second largest grey wolf (Canis lupus) population in the world, after Russia - approximately 60,000 wolves occupying roughly 90% of their historic range. They are found from Labrador to British Columbia, in the Yukon and the Northwest Territories, living in forests, tundra, mountains, and plains.

Wolves live in packs - family groups typically of six to eight animals, led by a mated pair. Each wolf howls at its own unique pitch, allowing pack members to identify individuals by sound alone. A howl can be heard up to 10 kilometres away. Wolves howl to locate separated pack members, to mark territory, and - some researchers believe - simply as a form of social bonding.

The grey wolf is a keystone predator: its presence regulates elk and deer populations, which in turn determines the health of riverbanks, forests, and watersheds. Where wolves return after long absence, ecosystems change in measurable and cascading ways.

This kit captures the wolf mid-howl - head raised, throat exposed, that distinctive posture that has defined the Canadian wilderness in imagination and in fact.
